I finally found it.

I remember it vaguely from when I was a little kid. I could never seem to locate it when I got older. Today I stopped at the cemetery office and asked. It happened so long ago the record wasn't even with the regular records. The guy needed the date, as close as possible. He found the site. Section A, Plot 182.

    O.K. you probably should have told me before that the man I am named after died 30 years to the day before I was born. That's like knowing that 4 presidents have died on July 4th. (were there more?)
