A Musing

Seems that a part of being a Mohammedan is a willingness to die for your faith and kill your enemy with you.

Part of being a Christian is being willing to die for your faith so your enemy can live on.

Quite a difference.

And based on the post title you thought this was going to be a funny.

I finally found it.

I remember it vaguely from when I was a little kid. I could never seem to locate it when I got older. Today I stopped at the cemetery office and asked. It happened so long ago the record wasn't even with the regular records. The guy needed the date, as close as possible. He found the site. Section A, Plot 182.

The Longest Day

Morning has broken...

Two loads of wood, more coming

Peppers, I planted as many as I could...

and used the space I had for the left over tomatoes

It's turning green

The jalapeno plant Teresa Martin gave me is ahead of everything else. Stupid Blogger won't stand the photos up like they are on the hard drive...

Concord grapes look good...

Rome apples. Now to keep the bugs away.

Piles of Pine

Grannie is getting her woods whacked. All the pines are coming down. That stuff will be OK to burn after it dries for a year or so. One truckload in my driveway already.

Varmints!!

Went outside to see if I had any hail damage on my car (we only had marble-sized hail for a minute or two the other day) and Maverick made a ruckus. There were two groundhogs out back -- one was disappearing into the weeds, and the other was up by the garden. I ran up there. It was a young one, that just sat and snapped it's teeth at me. It is now deceased.

I have the curtain on my office window open. Too many trees for a real clear field of fire, though.
